An invitation to present a paper and a workshop at a conference focused on intranet and knowledge management led to setting up this site [http://intranet.for-better.biz/]. I chose to speak about intranets for small business, and also elected to give a workshop on the solution paths available for small businesses considering intranet solutions, because I am convinced that small to medium sized businesses can benefit from such technologies. I will present three solution paths:
1. Microsoft Small Business Server with Sharepoint
2. Open Source solutions with emphasis on Drupal
3. Google Apps solutions
I hope these three solution paths will allow delegates to understand the main streams available to them to start building intranet solutions for their small to medium size businesses.
